RERA Punjab Chairperson Sh. Navreet Singh Kang
Chairperson RERA, Punjab

Sh. Navreet Singh Kang is the Chairperson of Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Punjab. He joined the Indian Administrative Services in 1983 and was allotted the Punjab Cadre. He has done his graduation in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and then obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Punjab University. While in Service, he did M.Sc. in Social Policy & Planning from London School of Economics. Sh. Kang has held various important positions in the Government of Punjab and Government of India, and retired from the post of Secretary in the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment before joining as Chairperson of the Authority in August, 2017.

Member Rera Punjab Sh. Sanjiv Gupta
Member RERA, Punjab

Sh. Sanjiv Gupta joined the Indian Police Service in 1982 and was allotted to Punjab Cadre. Sh.Gupta has held various important positions such as SP (City Ludhiana), SSP (Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Ropar, Jalandhar), DIG (Security, Intelligence), IG (Security, Provisioning), ADGP (Administration, Crime and Railways) and DGP (V&S, PB. Powercom and Prison Reforms) and retired from the post of DGP, Prison Reforms, Chandigarh before joining as Member of the Authority in August, 2017. He received Police Medal for Gallantry in 1991 and Meritorious Service Medal in 2012. He did his BA (Honors) and MBA from Punjab University, Chandigarh.

Member Rera Punjab Sh. Jagdish Singh Khushdil
Member RERA, Punjab

Sh. Jagdish Singh Khushdil is the Member of Punjab Real Estate Regulatory Authority. He retired as District and Sessions Judge from the State of Punjab. After qualifying Punjab Civil Services (Judicial) Examination in the year 1982, he joined as Sub Judge- cum- Judicial Magistrate. He served the judicial department more than 31 years and during this period he served the judicial department at various positions such as Chief Judicial Magistrate Additional District and Sessions Judge, Presiding officer Industrial Tribunal, Inquiry officer, Dy. LR /Joint LR cum Dy. Secretary/ Joint Secretary. He has also served as President District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum. He also qualified Civil Services Examination in the year 1982 and was allocated Ministry of Works and Housing, New Delhi.

He did his Schooling from Patiala, Ferozpur, Mandi Dabwali and Chandigarh. He has done his graduation from Khalsa Collage, Patiala. He obtained Degree of laws from Department of Laws, Punjabi University, Patiala. He also did Gyani, certificate course in Urdu and diploma in Urdu.

Adjudicating Officer, Rera, Punjab Sh. Balbir Singh
Adjudicating Officer RERA, Punjab

Sh. Balbir Singh, District and Sessions Judge (Retd.) is the Adjudicating Officer of Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Punjab. He did his law from Panjab University, Chandigarh and took up practice as an advocate in District Court, Ludhiana. He got selected in Haryana Judicial Services and served as Civil Judge/Judicial Magistrate, Ambala and subsequently, in the year 1989, he was selected in Punjab Civil Services (Judicial Branch) and joined at Amritsar. He also served as Special Judicial Magistrate, CBI Punjab, Patiala. He was promoted as Additional District and Sessions Judge in the year 2001 and also served as Special Judge, CBI, Patiala. He also served Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court. He served as District & Sessions Judge, Sangrur and thereafter as District and Sessions Judge, Chandigarh till his superannuation in June 2019.

Secretary RERA, Punjab Col. Varinder Singh (Retd.)
Secretary RERA, Punjab

Col. Varinder Singh (Retired) is the Secretary of Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Punjab. He was commissioned into the Indian Army in 1982. He has held many prestigious command and staff appointments at various levels including sensitive areas of North-East and Ladakh (J&K). He has commanded two major units and has held important charges at Brigade HQ, Division HQ, Corps HQ and Army HQ. He was awarded with a commendation by the Army Commander Western Command for illustrious service.

He did his B.A. (Hons) from Punjab University. He hung his uniform on superannuation in June 2017 after serving the Nation for 35 years and joined as Secretary, RERA, Punjab in November 2018.
